Be a better you !

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today I will share some helpful tips with you on how to be a better version of yourself. Make sure to read until the very end!

Mostly girls but also boys often at the age of 14-18 want to change themselves, based on their appearance. That’s when the super famous glow up starts. Social platforms such us Instagram and TikTok provide people with content that is usually fake or too good to be true for the majority of teenagers. Many girls but also boys discriminate themselves, and compare them to other people who are probably rich and have the “perfect” society standards. That’s when the glow up stops being a glow UP and we can say it becomes a glow DOWN. And that’s also when the negativity comes in, de-motivation is a sky rocket and anything that has to do with belief and courage hits rock bottom..

Too much of depressing this sounds- Let’s go back to our positive attitude! In a previous post of mine you already figured out how to have the perfect glow up! Check the post here! Let’s analyze some things!

How to start a habit:

Everyone says, in order to glow up you need to create a habit, start a new hobby. Alright, but where do I find the motivation? how to start? what to do? So many unanswered questions, followed by as many statements. i’m bored, why now it’s not worth it, it won’t change anyway, i hate exercising, i’m sad … literally SO MANY!!! ( I once thought all of these too, don’t feel alone my lovelies) I have the solution here, at least I hope it will help you!

  1. Start with something small and easy to complete: All you have to do to start a habit is to start! Make it something small, so that it doesn’t get tiring and make it easy, so that you can be consistent and motivated to do it!
  2. Increase your habit in small ways. Don’t overwork yourself, and don’t try to do something really difficult from the start! Start from something small, and gradually increase it. This way, it will be better for you to stick to that habit. For example, instead of 10 squats a day, start with 5, and gradually increase the amount of squats each day. This way your motivation won’t fade away!
  3. Break your big habits, into small ones. When you add to your existing habit a little bit of something everyday, you will soon find out that you have gone way too far! And congrats! But in order to keep up the good work break your habit into sections. For example, if you are doing 30 squats every day, have 3 rows of 10 squats and in between you can practice something else, for example push-ups.
  4. Try to be consistent. Being consistent I must admit that is the most difficult task anyone can ask for. I have struggled to be consistent in many ways, and that’s because like everyone, I had my sad days, my boring days, my vacation days. And using these as an excuse can really kill your progress so far. So, try to not skip your habit for more than a day!
  5. Don’t expect results right away! Well, no one can become a millionaire out of the blue. So, in order to see the results you want, you have to be patient and consistent. Don’t overwork yourself, and don’t use many excuses! Work at a pace that is ideal for your growth, and trust me later on you will see the results you dream of!
  6. Make it fun! Last but not least, make your habit a fun habit. Be happy while doing it. Listen to music, to your favorite podcast, watch your favorite kdrama (or tv show), watch a vlive or a live (if you’re lucky enough) of your favorite kpop idol! (I’m obsessed with kpop)
