I wanna be like them.

Of course in this world, eveyrthing has to be perfect. The way you laugh, the way you sneeze, the way you walk, the way you talk, the way you write, the way you exist. Right?

Alright. Let’s make things clear. For those who didn’t get it, I’m obviously joking. No one is perfect. Nobody can force us to be perfect. Everyone is perfect in the amount their perfect reaches.

But, many things are fake in order to be perfect, and other things are real, and they are imperfect. What I’m talking about?

So many different apps. So many different people. So many different lies. So many different expectations. So many different realities. So many different problems. So many different perfect lives. Yet the same issue.

Hello people! This is me, Melione and welcome back to a very interesting article. Today’s article is inspired by everyday life, the expectations we have from people and the expectations that people have from us.

Is what we live in a real world or not? Are we pawns in a bigger game for the “big” names or are we individuals that thrive to be as perfect as possible to make ourselves likeable?

You don’t belong in this world. You are a failure. You are nothing. Look at you! Why can’t you be normal? Why aren’t you like the others? Why do you have to be so different?

These are all things most people in the earth hear everyday. Are you really not good enough? Or is it simply the world we live in that makes you feel like that? The truth is that the answer isn’t a no. Because for good or worse, the world we live in defines the way we will be. But, not completely. There are things we should be aware of, and there are also things that we can control. But, what about those that we can’t control? It’s no use to tire yourself in thinking the same things over and over. When you can’t control something, the best you have to do is to let it go.

Are you allowing others to control you? If that’s a yes then it better become a no. Sometimes we are left with no choice but to follow orders, whether or not we like or agree with them. But sometimes things can really be up to our neck, when you can’t take it anymore. Then, it’s not easy but, gather all of your strength, and use everything you have. Your hands, your voice, your body, your eyes, yourself. This might sound egoistic to some. If it does, then sorry but not sorry, you shouldn’t be in here. Taking advantage of a person, is a crime. And a crime that should be rewarded with the toughest punishment there is. In this world, this is everyday life. It sometimes feels like we are pawns in a bigger game, where the “big” heads control through their systems the ubity of the people of earth.

Currently, the strongest people on earth, and I mean the ones who are the CEOs. And, strongest not by physical strength. They definitely cannot win a boxing game. But they can win money. That’s what they are good at. And of course, they take advantage of the unity, or better, the people on earth. Those 8 billion. The truth is, they offer, and we offer, so somebody can say that it’s a fair trade. And let’s agree with it, for now. But what about these guys?

Do they give and take too? Maybe yes, maybe not. I will go with no. They do give us content, but this content, is this really for our evolution, does it really help overcome daily life struggles, or is it just a game of manipulation of minds, where they brainwash you with the “ideal” “perfect” “iconic” world until you can only thing about that and nothing else. And then you start to fade……………………

Before we dig deeper, let’s make some things clear.

  • Perfectionism: the tendency to demand of others or of oneself an extremely high or even flawless level of performance, in excess of what is required by the situation.

  • Ideal: consummate | exemplary | flawless | have-it-all | indefectible | existing only in the imagination; desirable or perfect but not likely to become a reality | satisfying one’s conception of what is perfect; most suitable

Social Media is the right place for these two to be besties. Ideal and perfect. Maybe even a couple. The amount of content we get form influencers every single day is outstanding. Photos with bikinis, photos with smiley and perfect families, individuals being millionaires, millionaires flexing their cars and their ideal life. See? I couldn’t use another word. I used ideal. I hate this idea, because it makes me thing that we now consider the “normal” things odd and the “impossible” ideal. But what even is normal? Is there anything normal?

People die every day. Some because of drought and surviving conditions. Some because the are ill. Other people die from comparison, from the idea that they can’t be as perfect as social media present the lives of millions of people.

Social media are fake. Everything in there can be edited, photoshoped and fake information travel all the time. Someone might be a 23 year old person while in reality being a 13 year old child playing around. A terrorist can be friendly, a worker can pretend to be a CEO. Well, imagination is always at its best, and there’s nothign wrong with it. But impersonating something we are not cancause problems. That’s why we need more people to shout out there, and say that social media are just a second of what is the real life of a person. People like to share their happy moments with others, and that’s okay! But believing that in reality these people live happily without having bad times is only harming ourselves. I’m going to quote something:

Perfectionism is self abuse of the highest order.

Anna Wilson Schaef

Don’t try to be perfect. Being good is better than ebing perfect. The golden rule says that you can’t be perfect. But it’s better to be average rather than perfect at something and useless at anything else. Social media created the illusion that puts our mind into thinking that there is a way to actually achieve that perfect life. You are not going to have a perfect toned slimmed body if you drink that green thing every day because of TikTok. You are not going to have the perfect teeth if you pay in order to remove your real teeth for fake ones. You are not going to be a millionaire if you follow all those interpreneurs that send you a message on Instagram. And lastly you are not going to find your soulmate just because an unknown person added you as a friend on Facebook. Stop believing things that are not real. Nothing is ideal. Ideal is ourselves, and that is only for us. Nothing else should be considered as an ideal way to achieve anything. or nothing else should be considered as the perfect solution to any problem. Otherwise, global warming would be solved by now, just as pullution and so would animal extinction.

Being real comes with disadvantages, negativity, unexpected events, emotions. Being fake comes with the thought that nothing of what daily impacts our life can impact us. Being perfect and ideal comes with fear. The fear of failure, the fear of dissapointment and the fear of rejection.
