I want to be famous.

Fame, recognition, rich lifestyle, money, places, food, designer clothes, designer accessories. I want to be famous. I mean, come on, who doesn’t? Doesn’t it sound amazing? You ask for it, you have it. Expensive just for you.

Reality check.

Pain, failure, ignorance, overworking, fortune, bad people, sadness, loneliness, perfectionism.

Hello everyone! Welcome back to Diamond Blog! I hope that you are having a lovely summer! Happy July to all of you! Today I will be analyzing being famous. What is real after all? Before I get started, I would like to mention an awesome blogger you should really check out: https://saraflower.ca/ I took today’s idea from her article, which I will be embedding here for you to check out:

As well, I have to mention that this article is a sequel to my previous article, which I will embed here for you to check out before reading this article.

So, let’s first take a glimpse: What is the word famous?

In other words: renowned, celebrated, noted, notorious, distinguished, eminent, illustrious mean known far and wide. Famous implies little more than the fact of being, sometimes briefly, widely and popularly known.

Aesthetic . Ideal. Famous. Rich.

I mean, there’s absolutely nothing wrong of someone wanting this. And that is because the idea of the ideal lifestyle, can actually be a motivation for someone, including me. Having the freedom to buy anything you want, whenever you want, no matter how expensive or unique it is, is a true gift. Or, having a private jet, going wherever you want, living in a villa, instead of a simple house inside the town. No need to go to work all day, or work 8 hours straight, when you have people for that. You simply are the enjoyer. And us, we are the ones who provide you this joy. You wonder who I am talking about? Well, I’m talking about those “big” heads. The CEOs of the big companies, from where we do get paid but also we pay them daily. Unfortunately, living in a world of capitalism can not change things like this. But having a right minset is the most important thing.

Having to choose between a chocolate and a vegetable the answer is probably obvious. Almost anyone would choose the chocolate. Imagine what happens if you have to choose between a rich, ideal, wow lifestyle, where you can have anything that you want, and a simple, ordinary lifestyle, where you can make it just fine, without other people knowing you. I would choose the simplicity, over the amazingness. Some people though, would still choose the first option. And let me make this straight, this is up to each one of us. There is nothing that can be considered right or wrong.

Let’s although compare the downsides and the positive aspects of those 2 lifestyles:

The ideal

The simple

Pros

  • Have everything you want, whenever you want it.
  • No need to work (usually, not always)
  • Go, buy and eat wherever and whatever you like
  • Wear anything you want
  • Forget about chores, and anything that has to do with responsibilities
  • Have limited things, but be able to enjoy life the way you want
  • You need work to provide a monthly income
  • Limited things and places to go, buy or eat
  • You will have to keep your home clean, help other people out, including your family.

Cons

  • People will always be looking at you, the weirdest way possible
  • No privacy in your life, everything you post in your social media, will be judged, critisised, and you might even get in trouble because of it
  • You won’t be able to spend your hard times alone, and that might be a huge burden for you
  • Not few celebrities have decided to commit/leave their agencies/quit their carreers unfortunately because of the media and the news being spread about them
  • You won’t be widely known
  • You will have some privacy in your life, although it is not guaranteed, based on the people you share your life with
  • You will be able to spend your hard times alone, and that might not be something you want, but surely it is promising. You won’t need to speak your mind out to everyone on the media who’s making their own hypothesis.
  • We all have hard times. Even if we are simple people, or CEOs in companies, and millionaires. But, they truth is, that if we share our truth with the right people, we can avoid losing our importance and dignity for the sake of the media.

Having a luxurious lifestyle, being a millionaire, and having the “ideal” isn’t necessarily a lie or something we shouldn’t be dreaming of. For some people this works, for others it simply doesn’t. Every person is unique, for what they are. For their choices, for their way of talking, for their way of being themselves. There is absolutely nothing toxic about being a millionaire, a CEO of your own company, or a “big head”. That is, as long as you respect the boundaries of the people around you. That is when you help people out, when you’re being kind, and when you keep your dignity alive. Being a person with the right behavior towards anyone can always be a reason to thrive. Even as a millionaire. But, the important thing is that we shouldn’t think of rich people as a bad influence or a good influence either. The best thing to do is see within ourselves, and decide what lifestyle is really ideal for us. Not for the media, or other people’s opinions. This way, we can truly be an influence. Even to our loved ones.

Everybody is a shining star. And everyone shines in their unique way. You just need to find that glow. And most of the time, that glow is found within, and not in the luxury society presents to us.
